Your manuscript will be published under the Creative Commons Licenses, Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC-BY), or Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial No Derivatives 4.0 International License (CC-BY-NC-ND).
Author’s copy of the manuscript
Authors can immediately archive their draft (pre- or post-review) to a personal website.
Authors can also archive their final draft to any institutional repository after publishing on the Polar Data Journal website, without any delay. In this case, the manuscript must be linked to the publisher’s version by including its DOI.
DOI service policy
All manuscripts will be assigned a DOI.
If you cite manuscripts accepted by Polar Data Journal, you must use the DOI.
In registering DOIs, we follow JaLC guidelines.
Preservation policy
・Standards
Your manuscript will be stored in our repository in PDF format.
・Responsibility
The National Institute of Polar Research takes primary responsibility for preserving the PDF file and its metadata.
An accepted manuscript is published on this server as soon as possible.
This server is operated by the National Institute of Informatics (NII).
Withdrawal and Retraction
You can withdraw a manuscript only when a serious mistake or defect is discovered in the manuscript. If you find such a problem, you must specify the reason to our Editorial Board. In the case of an unreasonable withdrawal, the Editorial Board may forbid you to submit your manuscript to Polar Data Journal and our another publications.
Retraction will be carried out due to any dishonesty or misconduct, such as duplicate submission, parallel submission, fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and so on.
Statistical report
Authors can receive a statistical report (Number of access and downloads) by month.
